f = c/λ = 3e8/ 600e-9 = 5.e14 Hz

b. What is the energy per photon?

hf = 6.626e-34*5.e14 = 3.313e-19 J

c. What is the momentum per photon?

hc = 6.626e-34*3e8 = 1.9878e-25 kg m/s

Or

E* λ =3.313e-19*600e-9 = 1.9878e-25 kgm/s

d. What is its wavelength as it passes through glass (n = 1.50)?

λ(glass) = λ(air) / μ = 600e-9/1.5 =400e-9 m

e. What is the amplitude of the electric field?
